Care for People with Disabilities
In Region Gotland, you can develop and grow, both as an individual and together with others. When you work with us, you contribute to making Gotland an even better place for people in all walks of life. We make each other better.
In our care services, we work to create security, participation, and independence for people with various disabilities. We support our clients in their daily lives and always start from the individual's needs and circumstances.
We meet adults with neuropsychiatric disabilities as well as various intellectual and physical functional levels. The work is carried out according to LSS and SoL in a home-like environment where the goal is a safe and meaningful everyday life.
We are now looking for an engaged support pedagogue for our service housing at Tjelvargränd in Visby. We offer a varied and stimulating job with opportunities for development and wellness.
Your Responsibilities
As a support pedagogue, you work together with your colleagues to provide our clients with the support they need in their daily lives, primarily according to LSS. The tasks vary and can include everything from assistance with hygiene and meals to support during leisure activities and social interaction. All work is carried out from a salutogenic approach.
In your role as a support pedagogue, you have a responsibility to support and guide your colleagues. This means contributing pedagogical methods, working with implementation plans, record-keeping, and routines, as well as ensuring that clients receive the right aids to promote development, participation, and independence.
Together with the unit manager, you have a particular focus on quality and development within the organization. If necessary, the assignment may also involve supporting other operations within the department at the request of the unit manager.
The role is dynamic and may evolve over time based on the needs of the organization.
The work is scheduled with day, evening, and sleeping on-call shifts, as well as working every other weekend.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone with a higher vocational education as a support pedagogue. Knowledge of alternative communication is an advantage.
We prefer that you have experience working with various disabilities and an understanding of how these can affect an individual's daily life. You have good knowledge of pedagogical and evidence-based methods, such as MI, systemic quality work, and clarifying pedagogy, as well as familiarity with relevant legislation within HSL, SoL, LSS, and confidentiality. You also have knowledge of the division of responsibilities among various community interventions.
To succeed in this role, you are proactive and development-oriented, with a focus on the quality and development of the organization. You have good collaboration skills, pedagogical insight, and a holistic view, and you work in a structured and quality-conscious manner to ensure the best possible support for the clients.
We warmly welcome your application today!
